Happy Girl....

Well the last month has been very busy. Lexie is taking gymnastics and absolutely loves it. She has perfected her somersault and thinks she should be able to do one everywhere. The sofa, the marble floor, her bed etc. Cole and I spent a long time trying to explain that she can only do it on the carpet or mats we have. So we pulled out the mats and she kept on tumbling!

She has been such a happy little girl having so much fun visiting with all her new family and friends. She loves playing with all the kids. We have discovered she loves animals. Dogs and bunnies seem to be her favorite. Cole has wanted a bunny for a very long time (after realizing that I won't give into a dog) so now he is really pushing for it saying it will be both of theirs. I am not buying into it yet, cuz I know I will be the one to care for it! She will love our farm trip the end of May with our friends. She loves to play outside, blow bubbles, goto the playground etc. Cole really loves being a big brother and has been so great with her.

We had a wonderful visit at our house with 2 other families that traveled with us this past weekend. One little girl was Lexie's friend from China. It still is amazing to me that the 2 girls were friends for most of their life in China and now they both happen to be with families that only live about 30 miles apart. How lucky for these two little girls to hopefully be able to continue that friendship all through out their lives. The girls were so happy to see each other. Their first reaction was priceless, they looked at each other for about 2 mins. without saying a word. It was like they were thinking how come I am seeing you in my new life. Then they hugged. All the kids had a great time playing together.

I can't believe she has only been with us for 2 months. It feels like forever....she was truly meant to be a part of our family. She has a stubborn side to her just like her Mommy. If she doesn't get what she wants she let's you know it. Usually in a combination of Mandarin and English. It's very funny. She has learned so much English in such a short period of time.

Well that's all for now.

Its lovely to hear how well things are going and I loved the description of Lexie seeing her old friend from China again, it really is wonderful that they live close enough to maintain contact.

So funny that Lexie has a stubborn streak and lets you know in both Mandarin and English!

It sounds like Cole is just a natural at the big brother gig! So when are you getting the bunny? Go on you know don't stand a chance against Cole AND Lexie, working as t team they'll work their bunny magic on you! ;)
