Today the 3 of us walked around Beijing near our hotel. We went to the silk street market which is a bunch of vendors where you can haggle over price. We had fun haggling over a few items we bought. They all were intrigued by Cole - American with blond hair. The last few days a few locals want to touch his hair and face so I am acting as the baricade between them and him. He isn't noticing it too much which is good. After that we went to the friendship store and a bought a few items.
Then we spent the afternoon by the indoor pool which was nice and relaxing. Cole was having a great time racing his Daddy in the pool. We made reservations at a Japanese Restaurant that Cole was very excited about. He was having a great time at the beginning of dinner and the next thing I know he is telling me he is very tired and needs to sit on my lap. Within two minutes he's asleep on me. So much for enjoying the teppanyaki show (one of his favorites). He slept the whole time till we woke him and he had a few bites of dinner then back to snoozing. After dinner Kysle carried him back to our room and he's fast asleep. At least he is getting his rest for the big day tomorrow - off to the Great Wall!! We can't wait. Cole said he is bringing his travel journal and he wants to sit at the Great Wall and draw a picture of it and write all about it. He said he will ask our guide Ben to take a break for a few minutes so he can do this. Too funny!!
Well only a few more days till we meet Lexie!!

When I was still little my family and I lived in Japan, and we all had blonde hair (me and my sisters). We would always get a lot of attention and candy when we went out. It was really harmless for the most part, and a lot of fun because one time a little girl we didn't even know invited us to join her birthday that she was celebrating in the park.
